LENNOXVILLE, Que --
 Gladys Hakizimana of Montreal, Que., scored a game-high 17 points and 
Sirah Diarra collected a "double-double" as visiting McGill rallied from a 14-point deficit to defeat Bishop's 65-59 in RSEQ women's basketball, Saturday night at the Mitchell Gymnasium.
 
It marked McGill's ninth win in their last 10 confrontations against the Gaiters.
 
Bishop's held a 15-10 lead after the opening quarter and had a 34-20 advantage with just under four minutes remaining in the second stanza but couldn't hold on. The Martlets narrowed the gap to 37-31 by halftime, then controlled the third quarter 17-15 and dominated the fourth 17-7.
McGill had a 55-29 margin in rebounds, a 5-2 edge in blocks, an impressive 25-12 advantage in turnovers. Both sides had six steals.
 
Hakizimana connected on a trey with 1:24 left in the final stretch to break a 59-59 tie and put McGill ahead for good at 62-59. The 5-foot-7 social work major shot 6-for-13 from the floor and 5-for-11 from beyond the arc. She added five rebounds and one steal.
 
Diarra, a 6-foot-1 NCAA transfer from Clemson University, scored 10 points and pulled down 19 rebounds for the Martlets. She shot 5-for-13 from the field in 31 minutes of court time. The first-year social work major also contributed four assists and a pair of blocked shots.
Montrealer 
Trishia Villedrouin also reached double digits with 10 points. She shot 4-for-9 from the field and 2-for-5 from beyond the three-point line.
 
Gaiters forward 
Metchline Gabelus tallied 14 points and six rebounds, while teammate 
Maude Archambault added 13 points and shot 6-for-7 from the free-throw line.
 
McGill shot 38.2 per cent from the floor (26/68), 28.6 from beyond the arc (8/28) and was a perfect 5-for-5 from the free-throw line, compared to Bishop's, which shot 32.3 per cent (20/62), drained six of 21 treys and made 13 of 21 attempts from the line.
 
The fourth-place Gaiters (1-5) will host Ottawa (8-1) and Carleton (7-2), at the Bishop's Holiday Tournament, Dec. 29-30.
 
McGill, which sits third in the RSEQ conference with a 3-2 record, resumes their schedule next semester with a home-and-home against second-place Concordia (4-1). The teams will tango at the John Dore Court on Jan. 17, then back at Love Competition Hall on Jan. 19.
