MONTREAL -- The 28th annual Martlet Invitational women's volleyball tournament will be hosted by McGill University at Love Competition Hall, inside the Sir Arthur Currie Gymnasium, Oct. 5-6, 2018.

The four-team, two-day event will feature the defending RSEQ champion Montreal Carabins, who have won this tourney 14 times in the previous 27 years. Also on hand will be the McGill Martlets, UQAM Citadins and Saint Mary's Huskies.

The Carabins finished atop the Quebec conference last year with an 18-2 record and went on to place fifth at the national championship Final Eight tourney. McGill had a 14-6 second-place finish in the Quebec league and were swept 2-0 by Laval in the RSEQ semifinal.

UQAM finished fourth in the league with a 6-14 record and were swept by Montreal in the semifinals.

Saint Mary's was second in the AUS conference with a 14-6 record and lost a sudden-death semifinal to Acadia.
