MONTREAL -- The 27th annual Martlet Invitational women's volleyball tournament will be hosted by McGill University at Love Competition Hall, inside the Sir Arthur Currie Gymnasium, Oct. 13-15.

The four-team, three-day event will feature the defending RSEQ champion Montreal Carabins, who have won this tourney 13 times in the previous 26 years. Also on hand will be the McGill Martlets, Moncton Aigles Bleus and Saint Mary's Huskies.

The Carabins finished atop the Quebec conference last year with a 15-5 record and went on to place fourth at the national championship tourney. McGill had a 10-10 third-place finish in the Quebec league and were swept 2-0 by Laval in the RSEQ semifinal. Saint Mary's was third in the AUS conference with an 11-9 record and Moncton finished fourth in the AUS with a 9-11 record.
