MONTREAL -- Spencer Bromley and Goose Bolton, each registered hat-tricks as the McGill Redmen defeated Queen's 15-8 in CUFLA lacrosse, Saturday, at Forbes Field.

McGill dominated the run of play and held a lopsided 38-18 advantage in shots.

It's been more than five decades since the B and B Commission -- a Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism -- was established by the government of Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson. McGill now has it's modern-day version with the Bromley and Bolton combo,

Bromley, a senior co-captain from Surrey, B.C., registered four goals and an assist and moved into third place in the CUFLA East scoring race with 21 points in five games. He now sits fifth among the team's all-time leading scorers with has 151 career points in 52 contests.

Bolton, an economics junior from Darien, Conn., tallied three goals and two assists. He opened the scoring 1:02 into the match and also notched the game-winner.

Fellow co-captain Emile Sassone-Lawless, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound midfielder from Ithaca, N.Y., collected five helpers in the contest, pushing him to fourth among conference assist leaders despite having played in only three games.

McGill led 3-0 after the first quarter, 5-2 at halftime and 11-4 after a strong third quarter. The Redmen fielded predominantly freshmen in the second half, allowing their young squad to gain valuable experience.

"This was a total team win," said McGill head coach Tim Murdoch, whose roster is an experiment in biculturalism with 22 Canadians from across the country, as well as 14 Americans. "We had 12 different Redmen participate in scoring on a balanced offence. Sassone-Lawless quarterbacked the offence and truly made his teammates look good."

Redmen goalkeeper William Waesche, the defending two-time CUFLA goalie of the year, made six saves on nine shots before being subbed out midway through the third quarter. Conor Manahan, a 6-foot, 160-pound engineering sophomore from Victoria, B.C., allowed five goals on nine shots to collect the victory in relief.

Gaels 'keeper Thomas Asma made 23 stops on 38 shots against a persistent McGill offence.

McGill rookie Liam MacDonald of North Vancouver, B.C., had four points, including a goal. Sophomore Maxime Murdoch of Montreal scored twice, while Rhys Burnell of Abbotsford, B.C., recorded one goal and two assists.

Rounding out the McGill scoring were freshmen Alessio Marcogliese, Naolle Degife, and Kieran McKay, along with science junior Alexander Linton.

For the Gaels, Chris Boushy, Alex Bulla, and Riley Venton each scored twice, while singles went to Jordan Nanos and John Buchan.

Queen's (1-4) will host Bishop's (2-2) on Sunday, Sept. 25, while McGill (4-1) travels to Ottawa (2-1) on Oct. 1 at 7 p.m.
