MONTREAL -- Spencer Bromley scored four goals and set up three others as McGill overwhelmed Ottawa 16-5 at Molson Stadium, Friday, in a Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association sudden-death quarter-final.

The victory earned McGill a first-round bye at the upcoming CUFLA Baggataway Cup national championship tournament, a three-day event slated to be hosted by Bishop's University in Lennoxville, Que., Nov. 6-8.

Bromley was one of three Redmen players to register a hat-trick, along with Anders Bjella and Jake Gutman.

Teammates Goose Bolton and Connor Goodwin each added a pair. Rounding out the scoring for McGill was Emile Sassone-Lawless and Rhys Burnell.
