MONTREAL -- Spencer Bromley scored four goals as McGill defated Ottawa 11-5 at  Percival Molson Stadium, Sunday, to clinch the East Division pennant in the Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association.

The result extended their unblemished record to 10-0 record and locked up their fourth straight Eastern pennant. As a result, McGill will now host a sudden-death quarter-final against the division's sixth-seeded team -- either Ottawa or Trent -- on Oct. 30.

McGill goaltender William Waesche made some spectacular saves and was beaten just five times en route to collecting the win.

McGill has a bye in their regular season schedule this week, so the Redmen are slated to head south of the border to take on a couple of NCAA programs. They play at Plattsburgh State (SUNY) on Oct. 18 (4 p.m.) and at UMass-Lowell on Oct. 19 (6:15 p.m.). Head coach Tim Murdoch's 200th career game behind the bench for McGill is fast-approaching and will take place against Concordia. He enters the two NCAA games this week with a 130-68-1 record overall in 12 seasons.
