MONTREAL -- Kevin Donovan of Bethany, Conn., continued his torrid scoring pace with six goals and an assist as McGill trounced visiting Carleton 16-4 in a Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association game at Molson Stadium, Saturday.

The Redmen, who lead the CUFLA East with a 4-0 record, also dumped Nipissing 20-2 in an exhibition game to sweep a twi-night doubleheader.

Against Carleton, McGill took a 4-2 lead after the first quarter, 8-3 at the half and 11-3 after three quarters.

Donovan, a one-man wrecking crew in his first year of a certificate program after transfering from Lehigh University, leads the CUFLA scoring race with 14 points, including 12 goals, in just four contests.

Alexander Rohrbach, Tayler Sipperly and Emile Sassone- Lawless each tallied twice for the Redmen.

Rounding out the McGill scoring was Connor Goodwin, Richard Klares, Brandon McLean and James Vickery.

Two players split the goaltending chores for the home side. Veteran Riley McGillis of Peterborough, Ont., played the first half, was beaten three times and collected the win. Freshman William Waesche relieved him in the second half and conceded only one marker of the final 40 minutes.

McGill now turns its attention to a looming first-place showdown in Lennoxville on Thurs., Sept. 19, against undefeated Bishop's (2-0).
