Kevin Donovan of Bethany, Conn., scored five times and added two assists as McGill clipped Queen's 14-8, Sunday.
It was the 16th consecutive victory over a league opponent for McGill and clinched first place for the second straight year in the Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association's East Division along with a berth at the national championship tournament., to be hosted by McGill, Nov. 1-3
The game was played during a constant drizzle on the artificial surface at Forbes Field and featured eight different Redmen finding the back of the net.
Senior Alex Rohrbach and sophomore
Anders Bjella added two goals apiece. Singles went to

Alex Wright netted a hat-trick in a losing cause for the Gaels. Other Queen's marksmen included Dylan Hutchison, Mitch Grant, Marc Santos, Mitchell Grimmer and Nick Weiss.
Netminder
Riley McGillis, a senior from Peterborough, Ont., collected the win for mcGill, while Alex Guiney was beaten 14 times and took the loss.
The Redmen, who posted a 9-1 regular season record last year en route to winning their natioal title, are now 9-0 and will attempt to post their first-ever undefeated campaign when they host second-place Bishop's (5-2) in the season finale on Oct. 16 at Molson Stadium in a 9 p.m. start. The Gaiters were the last CUFLA team to defeat McGill, claiming an 11-10 decision on Sept. 27, 2012 in Lennoxville, Que. Since then, McGill has won 16 straight, including two straight against Bishop's (12-10 and12-10).
After that, they will play a pair of exhibition games at Plattsburgh State (Oct. 19) and Lyndon State (Oct. 24), before hosting the CUFLA tourney for the Baggataway Cup, .
