MONTREAL - Mike Dubé of Brockville, Ont., scored four goals and James Malloy of Uxbridge, Ont., tallied the game-winner with 3:15 remaining in overtime as Bishop's rallied from a four-goal halftime deficit to upset division leading McGill 11-10 in men's Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association action at Molson Stadium, Thursday.

Ryan Besse of Aurora, Ont., scored a hat-trick in a losing cause for McGill, which was beaten for the first time this season and fell to 7-1.

The Redmen led 4-3 after the opening quarter, 7-3 at the half and 9-5 after three but were outscored 5-1 in the final stanza, when a slew of McGill penalties allowed Bishop's to finally take a 10-9 lead with under three minutes left in regulation.   Among the 13 infractions assessed to McGill were costly unsportsmanlike calls on Brandon McLean, J.J. Miller and defensive midfielder Ossie Long, who fouled out of the contest.

"We had a terrific first half and some amazing efforts from Besse on offence and Kyle Robinson on defence," said McGill head coach Tim Murdoch. "But we lost composure in the second half and took senseless penalties.  Bishop's deserves credit for their comeback and strong finish in overtime. The good news, however, is that we own the tie-breaker over them should they manage to finish deadlocked with us atop the standings."

Robinson, from New Westminster, B.C., kept Bishop's sniper Josh Crone of the scoresheet.

McGill did mount a late-game comeback to tie the game at 10-10 with 58 seconds remaining in regulation as Miller cranked a top-corner goal to force an eight-minute overtime period.

Bishop's goalie Keegan Durovik, who was beaten 10 times in 88 minutes, registered the win, while McGill's Ward Waesche of Greenwich, Conn., was saddled with the loss, despite stopping numerous shots during more than 13 minutes of power-play time.

The second-place Gaiters, who improved to 4-1, also had goals from Toronto native Gareth Gibson (2),  Andrew MacKay of Cornwall, Ont., and Andre Laleune from Halifax, N.S., in addition to Alex Millin and Jesse Gattellaro, both from Aurora.

Other McGill marksmen included Alex Rohrbach (2) of Princeton Junction, N.J., Jishan Sharples of Vancouver, B.C., Ross Burst of St. Louis, Mo., John Miller of Odenton, Md., and Nolan Prinzen of Summit, N.J., and Leland de Langley of Orangeville, Ont.

Bishop's is off until Oct. 14, when they host Carleton, while McGill has a four-day break over the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend before the team returns to action on Oct. 14 with an exhibition match-up against the SUNY-Plattsburgh State Cardinals in Plattsburgh, NY. The Redmen resume regular-season play on Oct. 16, when the Queen's-McGill rivalry heats up at the downtown campus.
