GUELPH, Ont. -- Camiile St-Cyr scored twice as the upstart McGill women's field hockey team continued their renaissance with a surprising 3-1 victory over the Western Ontario Mustangs, Saturday.

Excellent work from Laura Slipp(15) and Camille St-Cyr(7) scores the first of the game on a short corner early in the game, and western ties the game 20mn later also on a short corner.The first half end with a tie 1-1.

McGill starts the second half on their heels but still maintains the pressure on Western with our offensive line of Camille St-Cyr centering Shannon Sibold(20) on the left and Laura Slipp(15) on the right.Camiile St-Cyr scores her second goal of the game on a short corner(seems to be her speciality).

McGill is all over the field and a third goal is added with a field goal from Rachel Berta. After her goal McGill relaxed their tempo allowing Western to control the game for some 10mn.Camille who was put to rest was sent back on the field and the defense was asked to take the time to better control and play the ball in their territory in order to take some pressure off the midfielders.game ended McGill 3 Western 1.

Tomorrow Sunday we play York at 12:00pm(noon).
