Khaalid Hicks

Khaalid Hicks, a 36-year-old native of Longueuil, Que., has served on the McGill coaching staff since 2021 and was elevated to a full-time post in 2024 as an associate coach, responsible for the defensive line.  He previously worked with the team's linebackers and served as a strength and conditioning assistant.

In 2023, he was selected to serve an internship at the B.C. Lions training camp as part of the CFL's Diversity in Football initiative. He also served as a guest coach at the Montreal Alouettes training camp in 2022 and was part of the Team Quebec U-18 coaching staff at the 2022 Canada Cup tournament in Kelowna, B.C.

Hicks earned a science degree from UQAM in 2019, where he majored in kinesiology and exercise science. Prior to McGill, he has had coaching stints in junior football (St. Hyacinthe Bruizers and Greenfield Park Packers), high school (École secondaire de la Cité des Jeunes École), junior college (Saint-Laurent and Saint-Hyacinthe) and university (UQAM).
