Marie-Philip Poulin

  • Title
    Asst. Coach (Skill Development)

Marie-Philip Poulin returns to the Martlets coaching staff after taking a year off to play with Canada's national team. She'd previously spent the 2016-17 season with the team as a skills development coach.

Poulin brings a wealth of experience, expertise, and accomplishments to the Martlets. She played NCAA hockey at Boston University, serving as the team's captain during the Terriers' 2014-15 Hockey East championship season. She ranks third in the BU record books for goals (81) and points (181), and second in assists (100), despite missing significant time because of injuries and national team appearances.

Poulin has also been wildly successful on the international stage. She won gold medals at the 2010 and 2014 Olympics, and a silver medal in 2018 in Pyeongchang as Canada's captain.

Professionally, Poulin played two seasons with Les Canadiennes. She was named the CWHL's Most Outstanding Player in 2016, and won the Clarkson Cup in 2017.
