Antoine St-Jean

Antoine St-Jean was appointed head coach of the McGill University men's and women's varsity golf teams in July 2017. A two-time recipient of the RSEQ coach-of-the-year award (2019, 2022), he his a resident of Terrebonne, Que.

Originally from the Mirabel-St.Augustin region, he brings an extensive background as a golf pro and instructor at various Quebec-based clubs, including stints at Le Challenger (2001-2003), Le Blainvillier (2004-2005), Le Boisé (2006-2015), Palmeraie-Marrakesh (2009-2010) and most recently Fontainebleu, where he initiated a Golf Academy and has served as the head teaching pro since 2015.
 
Certified as an instructor by the Professional Golfers' Association of Canada, St-Jean has previously worked with Bill Glasson from the men's PGA Tour.  A 2001 graduate of Collège Lionel-Groulx in Ste. Thérèse, Que., he also received a 2002 certificate in golf club management from Collège Laflèche in Trois-Rivières, Que.
 
St-Jean replaced Robert Dubeau as head coach in 2017. Dubeau re-launched the varsity golf program in 2006 after a 34-year absence, guided McGill to six appearances at the national golf championships, five for the men and one for the women. He remains associated with the program in an administrative capacity.
