The McGill University Quidditch Club has been a part of student life at McGill since 2008. Every year, the Quidditch Club runs two competitive teams who represent McGill in multiple tournaments throughout Canada and the US, most recently winning 2nd place at the National championships.
The club also runs an intramural quidditch league for people looking to try quidditch without the commitment of the competitive teams’ triweekly practices.
McQuid provides a chance for all types of people to meet one another. Whether an avid Harry Potter fan looking to ride a broomstick, an ex-rugby player looking for a new-yet-intense sport, or simply someone looking for a space where they can forget about the judgments of everyday life and enjoy themselves among new friends, McQuid will welcome them with beaming smiles and raised broomsticks.
