MONTREAL –
Simon Savaria of the McGill University men's golf team, has merited second-team all-star status in the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec conference.
A science junior, majoring in applied mathematics, the 22-year-old native of La Prairie, Que., shot rounds of 73, 80 and a superb 68 at the RSEQ championship hosted by the Gatineau Golf Club last week, to finish tied for 12th of 51 golfers with an 11-over-par-221. Savaria helped guide the McGill men's team to a fourth-place finish at the RSEQ tournament last week, which qualified them for a berth at the Canadian University / College championship next June. He enrolled at McGill in 2022 out of College Andre-Larendeau,
