Eric Van Sickle has served a long stint with the McGill men's rugby program and was appointed program manager of the team in 2015. He was the team's head coach 2013 in addtion to stints as an associate coach (2011 and 2012), the varsity forwards coach a (2008 to 2010) and an assistant forwards coach from 2005 to 2007.
Sickle has played a coaching role in eight consecutive league championships for McGill (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013).
He played rugby for 16 years as a part of the Montreal Barbarians Club. During that time they won nine club championships with Van Sickle serving as team captain from 2001 to 2007. Eric later re-entered the FRQ's Super League with the Montreal Irish.
His previous experience as an athlete includes a season in Scotland where he played for the Trinity Academicals RFC. He has also represented Quebec at the senior level since 2001 and was captain of the Senior Caribou in 2006.
