McGill University is losing a star on the ice and in the classroom.
Mélodie Daoust, 25, has attained almost every milestone that a varsity athlete could dream of.
With 116 goals and 156 assists for 272 points in 143 hockey games for McGill, the graduating Martlets captain and Olympic gold medallist is No. 5 on the Martlets' career scoring list. The physical-education student was named USports all-Canadian academic twice and received the prestigious Jean Béliveau Award given to student-athletes who excelled at school and in the community.
